Do you have spark? Do you have fuel pressure? Usually a no spark condition is the TFI module. No fuel pressure can be a bad pump, a bad relay, or a bad ground. Is it a six or eight cylinder engine?

Turn on the key, and check the coil primary (plastic plug) for battery voltage. Either terminal to ground should have battery voltage because the coil functions by having one terminal switched to ground by the TFI.
If you don't have voltage present, something's amiss with the start/run circuitry from the keyswitch. If you do, then it's possibly the TFI. I tend to lean toward other problems, because I have a TFI that's 21 years old, and still works fine, despite being subjected to extreme heat, flooded with coolant leaks, etc, etc. The TFI's and EEC's on these Fords are tough cookies.

1989 F-250
i have the same problem.this happened once before and i cant remember what it was, motor turns, smell gas, no spark, and not you cant get the starter to turn from the key.have to jump solenoid....changed ignition switch, pumps come one when key is turned to on and have good EEC IV.

have fuel, also have a mallory ignition system on it with a mallory 605 distributor, cannot get power to coil, the old eec was replaced, the gasket that goes between the eec and firewall was shot....box got wet and was replaced. altenator burned up while driving and was replaced.but still no spark...

the ignition lock is easy..need a paper clip , bent it straight, put it in the little hole just under the lock....push it in and turn the key to the start position...make sure you disconnect the battery first....watch the gear, its a bronze gear thats on the end of the lock as you pull it out....it can be fun putting the gear back in and aligning it, with any luck it will stay in place when you take the lock out....

1989 f-250, 460 hall effects wiring colors
i am trying to find anyone with the wire color diagrams for the hall effects sensor on my 89 250....already tried alldata & ford ect ect....anyone have a 89 460 with this harness...i need the EEc side of the harness....the wire colors for each pin....AAAAAAANYONE?
