I'm doing a tilt front end on my truck and am looking for some type of padding to use between the hood and the cab cowl.Since this will show everytime the hood is open I want something that isn detracting from the look of my truck but will offer some protection from wear where the two pieces rub together...
any suggestions guys... some of you 3 piece hood guys should have some good ideas...

John, What you may try is some woven cotton belting (1" widw) which I picked up from a shoemaker shop. I glued it in place on my cowl area and then put a pop rivet in the center and both ends to secure it in place to prevent it from 'walking'. Been there for the last 10 years. Put a little parafin wax on from time to time to give it some slip. I've seen this belting as wide as 3", so it must come in varying widths, C U AL
