master cylinder

What you you guys think of the orginal type 49-52 ford master cylinder. I have a new one installed. But since its a big truck. ( F-4) I was wondering if I should try to change it to a later dual master cylinder. Also have anyone of you ever done this,on a bigger truck. I feel that the cast iron mounting bracket might be a problem. Finding one that would fit in the same original
location.

The single mc's on the lighter trucks are pretty darn reliable. If your whole brake system is in good shape, hard lines, soft lines, wheel cylinders etc I think they're OK for casual use. If I were using it as a daily driver, I'd for sure go dual.

That said, I'm going dual when I replace my front hard lines (soon).
