with the growing numbers of stacked trucks in my area of west virginia.. i figured i would write and see what u guys have thought about stacked do u like stacked trucks or do u prefer the under the truck exhaust all the back
I just put 5in stacks on my truck about 3weeks ago and LOVE IT! The 4in straight pipe sounded good, but with stacks, WOW. Plus up here in Washington there arnt that many trucks with stacks, I think Iv seen one Cummins running around. I like to be different.
Assuming we're talking about diesels, here (I think stacks on a gasser would be funny ), stacks are great. I like how they look, and the sound is killer. They only really belong on a modified truck, though. Need to be able to puff a bit of smoke out now and then, or the stacks seem silly.
I have heard a few trucks around here with stacks,,,Ahhhh I dont really care for the sound, one was with a 7.3 PS,,sounded kinda tinny and weird to me,,,Just like I dont care for the sound of a straight piped cummins say in a Dodge,,just sounds like a 6 cylinder with a fart pipe,,think they sound better with a muffler. Now I heard a 6.0 the other day,,man it sounded sweet,,almost like a big block,,but a nice whistle too,,!
the "big rig kit" by Big Rock(i think thats the company) uses a single through bed hole from stock exhaust comes with stacks, y pipe, n i believe connection to stock exhaust. 5" stacks i think, i'll search around the interweb
