On a 96 F150 302 auto, does the trans fluid in the pan cycle through the torque converter as well as through the tranny? I can't seem to find that info in any of the manuals I have. If I recall, and it has been a looooong time, I think the old Pontiac hydros did. It has been 45 years since I went to General Motors training center......thanks....chris3
I have been changing my tranny fluid every 30000 miles. I suck it out the dipstick tube and refill it. Truck has 126000 miles and the auto trans works perfectly....after all, tranny fluid is rather cheap......chris3
I think that it is helping alot by keeping clean fluid in it the filter should last alot longer and clean fluid will keep wear down. i'd say though the filter is due for replacement though
