81 Hard/Won't Start when cold...thoughts?
I've got a 81 F150, 351M, factory reman carb bought and installed by P.O. New plugs, IGN module, super coil. Truck fires right up on first lick when it is above 50 degrees out...but here lately it doesn't like to fire up when its cold outside (+20 to +50 or so) Hasn't got below 20 yet. I can hit it with a quick spray of either it will fire off. But how annoying. Its almost like its flooding out maybe? Doesn't seem to matter if I hit the gas or not.
Choke is fully closed. Plenty of gas squirting in when I manually work the throttle.
Where should I start looking first? Thanks in advance.

Iced up carb perhaps?
I do know that they do not put the antifreeze in the fuel for carbureted engines anymore. Perhaps the jets are freezing up???
I use rubbing alcohol to help with my cold weather fuel issues. Works like a champ. It will also help absorb water in the tank and make it combustible.
Just some thoughts...
I'm not going to say it will solve the problem, but it wont hurt either, and it make mine run a heck of a lot better in cold weather and helps prevent carb icing.
