There was snow on the ground this morning and I thought "well - first opportunity to use 4x4 this year". I put the switch in 4 Hi (Electronic) and the rear tires just kept on spinning. I stuck my head out the window to see if the front tire was spinning and it wasn't, but I did hear a clicking from up there - sounded like splines clicking.
I also put it in 4 Lo and same thing - the truck went real slow, but no pull from up front.
Is the infamous solenoid the likely culprit, or possibly something else? I've already scheduled it for service, but I don't have the most condifence in the dealer based on previously unresolved issues to date.
The 4wd indicator for 4 Hi and Lo did light when I put the switch to each position.
Thanks in advance, for any input.
Rick
