45 or 46 Adoption

Hello People: My wife and I live in Calgary Alberta, and we are looking for either a 1945 or 1946 Ford pick up. My wife has been looking at trucks and she loves the 45. We will give it a good home since the two of us will be working on it together. Now we don't want to have one fixed all up we would like to start from scratch. Doesn't even have to have a motor. Just the body is fine. We will go from Sask to BC to pick up a truck. We would like to see some pics if at all possible before driving to see it.

Thanks
Michael & Chris

It's been a few years, but I believe if you look down from Lethbridge to Crows Nest Pass you'll find several 42-47 fords on both sides of the road. I now live in Texas so I don't get up there much anymore but they were real popular with the farmers there.

I saw a couple of 42-47's in a vintage used car lot just outside of Salmon Arm BC last year. I'm sure anyone in town could tell you the name.
