Can Hear Ever Valve Rattle Over Loud Engine Tapping
Condition Hopeless Entire Vehicle Relies On Lame Engine Technology
I grew up in a Chevy household. Drove my dad nuts when I bought my first truck, a 1978 FORD F150 Ranger XLT. started out as a 302 3 on the tree. Wound up with a '69 390 and a 4 speed OD out of an '82. Added a set of headers, an old dual plane aluminum intake, a 750 CFM DP/DF Holley, a Hurst cometition 4 plus shifter, a Sun tach, and a few other goodies. The only rust it had was the typical over the rear fenderwells. after fixing that and painting it I drove it for 3 years before going in the military. That thing tore the hell out of more chebbies in high school and looked great doing it. Wish I still had it. Oh well just reminising I guess. Almost forgot to mention had to slip the heck out of the clutch to keep from frying the trans on hard takeoffs. Wouldn't recommend that combo to anyone.
Very true. I owned a chebbie once. It fell apart with in 3 months when I tried to use it like a truck. I figured a 3/4 ton would have been better than that. That 350 diesel they had boy that was a GREAT idea LOL.
The only one I've heard for GMC was the "Gotta Mechanic Coming" one. For C-H-E-V-R-O-L-E-T, however, it's Cracked Head, Every Valve Rattles, Oil Leaks Every Time.........
HEY AS A CANUCK I RESENT THIS ONE!! DO YOU THINK THE CROWN VICTORIA IS JUNK? IT IS ONLY MADE IN CANADA!!! IT IS ONE OF FORDS LAST REAL VEHICLES (BESIDES THEIR TRUCKS OF COURSE!)
I think he used Canada because he was looking for a C word. Anyway, my 84 F150 was made in Canada and is still running strong with 176,000 miles (now owned by my boss). But one of the best made things in Canada is their beer!
