Whats a good way to shampoo the Interior. I have Grey interior and and need to shampoo the seat and carpet. There really dirty. What kind of products are really good? Also where can I get seat covers for a 1988 F150. Its a bench seat with the fold down center peice. The seats got some rips on the drivers side.
I have used something as simple as Resolve to do the carpets. Most household upholstery cleaners will work on the seats, but it may take a couple of applications.
Just take it to a hand car wash place or to a detailer. Nothing cleans like a hot water steam system any respectable place would have. I have a place that will do our Benz for 45 bucks. I am a DIY car cleaning guy and I have cleaned my carpets by hand it is a pain in the ***. Especially when you can spend 45 and results are twice as good and no sore elbows.
When you did the carpet did you take the seat out or leave it in? How hard was it to scrub out the stains? Also around here the cheapest place for detailing is $150 its really gay.
I would call around again and ask just for carpets only. Acutally 150 for a total truck is really reasonable. They did not take out the seats but moved them all the way forward and back. I really don't won't anyone removing the seats in the MB, could be a costly mistake. If they didn't have the power and vacumm liines running under them I wouldn't mind.
The kids puck about every time they get in Mamas Bravada. I just asked her and she said that she uses resolve and works it in as a high traffic area. It must work cuz if it stunk when I get in it than s**t hits the fan. It's a 93 and carpet still looks new.
