I have had and still do have several 7.3 PSD. I have had very little trouble and quite a bit of enjoyment from them. I recently purchased a '03 with 100k miles on it. Anything different I need to be aware of maintenance, operation, etc.?

I just change oil every 3,000-3,500 and fuel filters twice a year (spring & fall) and a new air cleaner every year. The only other thing I do is drive it. I havent had any trouble. This spring I am going to change all my fluids and check the wheel bearings ect- but to me thats just normal wear and tear stuff

I think that just about hit it on the head. A good maintenance routine is just about the most important thing you can do for this engine. But I would say that 5000 miles between oil changes is probably a more economical interval (3000 to 3500 won't hurt either). Fuel filters should be done every 15000 miles. Just as important as good maintenance is good, clean, quality fuel from a high volume filing station, as well as an additive to help the injectors stay lubed up and keep the engine from coking.

So basically treat it the same as a 7.3. Thanks for the info guys.
