Side Windows Not Working Good

My rear ventilation windows don't work when it is cold and if I turn up the heat for a few hours while driving, it might unstick. I am thinking of changing the motors. Any advice, tips or any info anyone can give? TIA

I know this isn't much help but mine have been sporatically working since new and my truck is only a year old. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't......sometimes one works and the other doesn't and vice versa. I've never really used or wanted to use them and its not worth taking to the dealer. hopefully somebody has a remedy for this problem. but none the less your not alone.

Mine didn't work either but it didn't have anything to do with the motor. There was ice built up after going through a car wash. The motor simply couldn't overcome the binding strength of the ice between the glass and the seal. Warming up the car made all the difference.

You might consider cleaning the rubber seal really well to remove anything that might be sticking to the glass. Then use WD40 on the hinges to get max performance out of the motor.

Mine does't care what the temp is. they didn't work in NC 19F snowing or in Miami @ 86F....I think its the gremlens....but knock on wood that is the only thing that has ever been wrong with my truck. I'm keeping my finger crossed, I figure if I don't fix that problem then nothing else will break!!!

My driver's window won't go down when it is cold. This is a problem because I live in upstate NY (cold) and I work at a nuclear power plant (I have to present my badge at a security checkpoint and let them touch it). Yesterday morning it was 1ºF when I got to the checkpoint. My window wouldn't go down. I had to lower the rear seat window and pass my badge back. This morning it was 17ºF and the same thing happened. Any ideas?

I second this recommendation.

Right after I purchased the Ex, the rear side vent windows stopped working. I took it back to the dealership and they told me the windows were just stuck to the weather stripping.

Ever since then, I clean the stripping with a little rubbing alcohol every-so-often.

So far, so good.

In addition to what Harvery said above, It will also help
to treat the weatherstripping with some Armor-All.
