6.0 Injectors

I have a 2004 F350 6.0L PSD that just had the injectors replaced at the dealer. I am new to the diesel engine crowd and have heard that Ford was having issues with NAVISTAR?? and the injectors. Can someone splain? Thanks and have a great day.

New letter from Ford Injector Nov 2006
Subject:6.0 L Powerstroke engine control improvement software
Your vehicule received revised engine control software
to improve engine operation by cycling the fuel injectors every time he engine is shut off.
The injecter cycling will last for 30 secondes after every engine shut dows.

Stel's post covers the latest flash for the 6.0. This flash is an update to the powertrain control module software and is intended to improve injector performance in cold weather conditions.

The current issue between Ford and Navistar involves the new 6.4 going into the the 2008 model 250/350 trucks. The injector issue and this current issue are not related.
