Cool Vaccuum lines all GONE!!!

Somebody ripped all my vaccuum lines off the truck! Does anybody have a vaccuum diagram for a 1991 f150 2wd supercab auto 351? I've got to do the whole system!! AAAAAGGGGHHHH!

Isn't there a vacuum diagram on the underside of the hood or in front of the radiator? I have a Chilton's manual at home that should have something - I'll check tonight if you don't have it by then. Also, a junkyard may be a good source if you can find a similar truck to yours - they probably wouldn't mind you looking and would probably sell you the whole vacuum system for short money.

Do you mind telling us how/why someone did this or is this a truck you just bought?

I've had the truck for a while. I had some problems getting it running, but fixed everything. The truck was sitting with a for sale sign on it and unlocked (I have a kill switch to prevent theft), I guess someone decided that they needed the lines more than I did. They took all of my hard vaccuum lines (the colored ones). Anyway, I'd really appreciate you looking it up in the Chiltons. The sticker is gone from under the hood. I'm thinking I'll just run rubber lines and follow the chart. I'd go to the junkyard, but the nearest one is about 70 miles from me. Thanks for your help!

Sorry to hear that someone took the vacuum lines. If it is like my 91 bronco it is not too hard to put the lines in. The vacuum resivior is before the three soleniods for the two air lines and the EGR soleniod. The Fuel pressure regulator runs off the vacuum tree, as well as the HVAC system. The two AIR vacuum solenoids require that the right solenoid be hooked to the vacuum motors correctly. The wiring diagram can help tell you which switch goes to what vacuum motor. Mine had the front solenoid, not the evr, as the air diverter for the AIR to the system or vent. The next switch was for the cross over tube or to the cat. The vacuum goes in the port on those three switches that is furtherest from the main body of the switch. I hope this helps and is not too confusing.

Wait, who would steal vaccuum lines!? They're nothing but crap plastic that will rot out eventually anyways. If they were made of copper I could see it, but plastic? Jeesh people are getting crazy nowadays.

I'm sorry but I'm still laughing about this. Who in their right mind would steal vaccuum lines? Forget the wheels and tires, we've got vaccuum line thieves now!

Those hard plastic lines are worthless. On a truck that old, I wouldn't be surprised if every one of them snapped in half as they were being pulled out. I snapped the line to my egr valve in two places. It wasn't hard to do.

Yea those hard plastic lines tend to become crappy after a few years.

And as far as the catalytic converters.... around central Ohio here, you can get a damn good price on a good used cat! Last time I checked it was like 40 or 50 bucks per converter, if I'm not mistaken. It was outrageous, to the point where all I hear people talking about was going to the mall and cutting them off vehicles hahaha. I didn't think they were serious!
