My SD has increasingly been making a slight clunking while driving the washboard roads in my neighborhood. I jacked it up to see which ball joint/tie rod end was bad. It turns out it is the steering box.
Question is, can it be adjusted/rebuilt, or do I just replace it?
I have adjusted boxes on older cars for a temporary fix.
Is it truly only a temp fix or can I adjust the "slop" out of the box as a permanent fix.
BTW This is my wifes "mini van" when its not working or towing our tow hauler.
