I have a 2002 F150 SuperCrew Fx4. It has 77,000 miles on it, an I just put the 3rd set of front brakes on it. (rear are still good) I was wondering if there was any way to adjust the rear brakes on more. I pull a trailer, and I know this could be part of the problem, but I don't think the front brakes should be on the squeal pins, and the rear look like new. (The trailer has fully functional brakes) Any suggestions will be helpfull...thanks
The only way to adjust them would be to install a manual brake controller. Then you could throw more bias towards the rear. If your trailer has brakes are you using them? I would start there instead of messing with your truck's set-up.
Especially when towing, you'll go through fronts faster.. rears less so because the trailer brakes are helping...
Just get a good heavy duty ceramic pad, you might get a few more miles out of them... but in all honesty 25k out of a set of fronts while towing is pretty dern good.
