Unhappy In Channel Rain Guards (causing problem?)

So I just bought a used ranger with 'in channel' rain guards. There were some issue with the driver side window, including it not closing properly, before I made my purchase. Non-Ford Dealer was supposed to fix. The issue is that the window drops forward on its way up. I can physically pull the window back and it will close fine. The dealer is trying to tell me the problem is because these rain guards are pushing the window out and the problem will go away if we take off the rain guard. This doesn't make sense to me because it is only happening on the drivers side and if I pull the window back and hold it while I am putting it up, it will close snuggly. Has anyone else come across this problem? I think the dealer is full of it, but because I am still within 30 days I want to solve this issue without losing the rain guards. Any help is appreciated.

I have the "in-channel" (not the cheap stick on ones) rain guards or vent visors or whatever you call them and have never had a problem with them or the windows. I've had them on for almost 4 years. sounds like something inside the door to me (something broken in the parts that lift the window). Only thing i can think of is that maybe the window got stuck on the bottom of the rain guard when someone was putting the window up and something broke...

I also have the "in-channel" rain guards. They kept a guy from breaking the side glass and getting into my truck as they caused the window to fit too tight for him to get a screw driver in and break it. So I won't have my truck without them again.

I'd agree with ctboy as something in the guts either was bent or broken. I have a 96 and the windows go straight up and down without any lean at all.
