howdy all, newbie here,
out of curiousity I was wondering how hard it would be to replace a 460 with a 7.3L PSD, I'm looking for a 1997 F250 and would love a deisel but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to afford it so I was thinking if I could buy a gas truck and repower it with a deisel. Plus I would love to have a manual behind it but in all of my searching the net I haven't found that many 5sp out there, is it possiable to mate a 5sp with a 7.3l that was orgianally an auto behind it? thanks for the help I appreiacte it.
5spd, 6spd but it would cost ALOT more to repower than to just buy a diesel. It all can be done but for most would not be worth the time unless you really enjoyed it. My suggestion would be to keep shopping.
