Flathead v-8

Hey guys,
I need some help with my flathead. Its from my 1945 ford 1/2 ton. I have it mostly taken apart. Im wondering how you get the nuts off of the end of the conecting rod that is bolted on to the crank shaft. Sorry im not up with my right terms tonight. I have all the nuts off except one and its down low and i cant get a rench on it. Also how do u pry the end off the connecting rod off to get the crank shaft out of the engine... My pistons are stuck *thought id add that in*
Thnx for your time
Dustin

Dustin,
It sounds like you have a make it or break it motor,I'll assume that the heads are off. I had to resort to a 4" lenght of 3" steel pipe powered by my VBFH (10 lbs) to break some pistons loose. Some will come out the bottom, but if you break them loose you can punch them out the top. Once the pistons are all taken care of, the rod caps aren't too hard to pop.
Good luck,
Bill
