just bought a 02 f150 in arizona got it to minnesota 2 weeks ago first day it gets below 0 on my way to work first it lost od then lost third (went to limp mode) when i stopped and put it in park motor revs at 2800 shut it off wouldn't start back up trailered home put in shop for a few hours started ran fin took it back out in the cold after about 10 min motor reved back up to 2800 took back inside after short period all was normal again need help my borrowed ride is a chevy

i have no idea...i know this wont fix it but for the hell of it check your antifreeze to see what temperature you are protected down to.....i have mine at -30, or a little more since im in the adirondacks a lot.
i wonder if it could be your IAC valve, or MAF sensor....not sure though
