1948 maybe??
I've spotted a suitable candidate for restoration and I'm trying to identify it. there is a plate on the passenger side of the dash which has some info that looks like MODEL T3 440 GROSS VEHICLE 11000 POUNDS MASS 99CWT. It has verticle grill bars and the double flair front guards. It has what looks like a flat top v8 and is currently configured as a crash repairs tow truck with a short wheel base and dual rear wheels. Can anybody help with a picture of the base vehicle or other info that will help me identify this vehicle

You might also try this site; it sounds like the nameplate is for Holmes or whoever converted the truck to a tow vehicle.

Vertical bars, with the hood latch in the center, vertical like the grille bars, with Ford stamped in it? Rather pointed hood? Headlamps in fenders? If so, it,s a 47 or earlier. 48 to 50 had the headlamps in the grille are with horizontal grille bars with the parking lamps mounted in the top grille bar. Some late 47 style trucks were sold as 48's.
