Hey all, I'm new here, I looked for this but couldn't find it. I have the cassete player radio...with the 6 disk cd changer in the center console. Can I replace that with the 6 disk in dash cd changer that was used in the 03 F150's? Is the wiring harness plug the same? and can I just unhook the cd changer from the console? thanks everyone...
i know taking the cd changer out of the console is easy and man does it ever provide more room in there, as far as plugging up a 6 disc in dash, dont know if it will work but then again nothing is impossible, go to a known car stereo shop, imo..best buy and circuit city are just not the way to go, i know more than them guys

I took the CD changer out of my '03 F-150 and replaced it with a Ford cassette player with no problem. (I have lots of tapes, no CD's). No problem - it was plug & play.
Now I want to install a 6 disk changer in the console. Can you tell me where the factory routed the cable from the console to the radio in the dash? Does it go to the pass. door & up that way or does it go straight up the middle?
