Question Overboost Guage

Iwant to order the overboost annihilator from ITP Diesel. My question is this.. I plan on hooking up my gueages tommorrow( pyro, boost, tran temp) and want to know if I can still hook up the boost guage witht he T fitting for now and/or does the overbost guage nee to be hooked up to the boost line. Because then I will need a new line where i have the T fitting ... Right? just not sure. I can just coil up the boost line under the hood until the overboost guage arrives, but just dont know exactly hoe the boost lines fit in to this .. thanks Jeff

You can still run your boost line to the same thing with a tee, just put it close to the Y pipe. The regulator mounts right next to the Map sensor. I have two boost taps, one for my boost gauge and one for the water injection, both read the same, one in the Y pipe and one on the Map line.

Here is a pic of how I have my boost regulator installed. One of the big differences in a map line regulator and a map line relief valve is that you maintain a consistant pressure throughout the y-pipe and map line. The relief valve blowoff system will allow a much lower pressure measurement close to the relief that what would be seen in the y-pipe and it is necessary to install your boost gauge close to the y-pipe or in the AIH delete plug to get an accurate, smooth reading. With a regulator this is not necessary and you can tap the boost system anywhere and get the same smooth boost reading whether it is in an AIH delete plug, close to the y-pipe or next to the regulator as I have installed it.

When you go to install the valve body (BTS, I'm assuming ?), guzzle92 has an awesome writeup on his site, complete with all the pics you'd need, list of tools, etc. etc. It'll make the install a breeze. The link to his site is in his sig.

I'll second guzzle's writeup, it took me longer to drain the fluid than swap the VB.
