workin at home...to figure out how to work at home...
Yeah, I hear you! I was thinking if I could find something to do from home and make another $500 or so a month, I would be able to gain some ground on the bills instead of paying the intrest and hoping for the lottery. Haven't found one. I tried two of the envelope stuffing ones and lost $250.00. Those were worthless. Tried selling car parts on Ebay but that was hit os miss - worked hard at it for a month and made a profit of $32.00 for all my effort. Looked into "29gain.com" that they've been advertising on the tv, and it didn't sound like what I was looking for. If you find a company that sounds good, punch they're name in on the internet and do a search, you'll find out quick if they've got people mad at 'em! - No good advice but wanted to say "Good luck! - pullin' for ya!"

Reason: spelink...um spellung?
If she stays home she will work alright, cleaning, cooking, laundry etc .......and there wont be no paycheck for it,,,,,,,,,I would talk to several people I know that have tried it (for at least 2 years) and see what the story is,,,,,,,prepare to learn that it didnt work out..... what kind of at home business is she talking about?
The thing you have to remember about those "part time jobs" is they have fine print saying "results not typical". Yeah, some people might make more than $5000, most will make far less.
But good luck to you and your wife. I hope it works out for you.
we talked about opening a day care and watch 3 or 4 kids she really just wants to stay home and saw on of those ads and thought about that but it just sounds to good to be true. we both work hard for are money to throw at some one and not get a return on it or get scammed
Hey, I have some input on the daycare idea! My ex wife and I started a home daycare twelve years ago. She still has it and is doing great. We started off with 3-5 kids, did well, changed the garage into a playroom and it took off from there. We moved to a bigger house, got licensed for more-we were making so much money I just worked most of the time at the daycare. We had 20 kids and were making around $65,000 a year. not bad if you like kids, Gotta do it right though, take some classes, get all the right licenses, kiss social services butt.
The way most of those things work, you pay like $49 for the package from the ad. Then in a couple of weeks, some slick tongued Charlie will inundate you with phone calls trying to upsell you to their special program.
For $4-5,000, they will assign you a personal Guru to hold your hand, and walk you through the program to "Guarantee" you will be "Successful". After you pay your $4-5,000 the Guru plays hard to get, or vanishes. You're stuck with a program, no help and out a lot of money.
Be very careful before you commit yourself to any additional costs. Some people do make a bunch of money from some of these programs, but not many. Thus the disclaimer in their ads.
The low initial investment is just the hook. Then you get harassed by high-pressure sales tactics with the argument that if you'll just invest some more, they can reveal the REALLYU big secrets that will make you rich. And it never ends.
There are lots of real and legit businesses you can run from home - programming, real estate agent, Ebay sales, book keeper, tranlsator, etc etc. But none of them come pre-packaged from a website.
how about start a internet phone book, and caaaall it say--- googles- just a thought! that idea might make a little pocket change. damn why didn't I think of that! lol
If your wife wants to work at home and make some extra $$$ why not try tupperware or avon very little start up cost and a good support system and have been around for decades.
Everyone is right those info commercials are scams.
There are some companies out there that hire quite a few people to just work out of the house. I think Geico and Progressive both do it. I'm sure it will require a phone and computer with high speed Internet. I also know you can do medical transcription from home. The money probably isn't great, but they are legit.
Been there, done that. I tried one of those deals once. Wound up costing me about $5000 when all was said and done. My wife has tried a few different programs with about the same results. Between the two of us it's cost us over $10,000. This is over a period of years. After getting burned once I won't do it again, and I think the wife may learning the same lesson now...(I hope!)
