First time posting here. I have a 1959 F100 LWB that I bought w/out engine or trans. The plan is to install a mildly modded 300ci 6cyl engine and a beefed-up C4 trans. My 1st priority, though is to install a Dakota X-member kit from Industrial Chassis, Inc, and "flip" the rear axle on top of the leaf springs. Next will be to shorten the frame to accomodate the shortbox I recently acquired. I have a lot of ambitious plans for various other modifications, but they will depend on time, finances, and ability. It's going to be a daily driver that will see occasional light hauling-not necessarily a "show" truck, but a decent ride. If anybody here has done anything similar, I'd love to hear from you, or better yet, see your ride in person.
