Hey im thinking of taking the factory radio out and putting a different one so i can play my MP3'S. I searched through the threads and found one on how to remove the '05 6 cd changer but I dont know if its the same on a 1 cd on an '04. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. Should be fine with the same instructions on the '05? I had a '99 before I bought the '04 and i changed the radio on that one. But the instructions said there are 4 screws? Is that the same with the '04?
I guess if you had a Heritage model... it maybe different I can't remember... but if its obviously not (looks like the '05+) you'll be okay. So yeah you'll have the four screws...plus (of course) the radio/dash trim before the screws.
open the ashtay, and pull with both hands on the bottom of the radio bezel. pulls out with 3 pairs of spring clips 2 on bottom, then pull on teh middel, then the top to remove . unplug the "airbag off" light connector at teh top and move the bezel to the side. you will see (4) 7mm bolt to remove the double DIN radio.
I did it at least 12 time by now and no breakage of the bezel
