I was wondering if anyone out there has encountered an OEM brake pedal assembly that bolts up without too much modification after doing the Chrysler swap on the front end. Thanks for any advice.
Don't know if there is room anywhere under your truck, but, there used to be a unit called a "hydau-vac" on the trucks F-500,600,700. Just below air brakes,
It was mounted under the cabs and the first brake line, and a vacuum line went to it. It then boosted the pressure ,same as power brakes.the out line from it went to the wheels
something you may want to investigate .I know I'm late with this reply but heres hoping you can use it
good luck Phil
In my 50 merc 1/2 ton I used the booster and pedal assembly from a mustang 2 (79 model) The booster is a nice size for a firewall mount and with a little bracing inside, from fire wall to dash, there is little if any movement of the firewall when you apply hard brake pressure, I had to modify (bend and extend) pedal arm, the truck is far from finshed but I have had the tilt column in and gas pedal assembly in and I think things will work out well. I am running a camaro clip not the volare.(found the forum to late or I probably would have went with a different set up. but that's for another discussion)
