Anyone have the overboost annihilator for ITP deisel? I see it listed and I am not sure if I will need it or not. Here is my set up :2002 7.3 crewcab sb. I have installed the AIS severe duty air intake witht he foam fender mod, I am installing the guages now (boost, pyro, trannytemp) and just ordered a 4 in SS mbrp turbo back exhaust. I plan on a DP tuner chip with the norm 20,40,60,80 econ and 120 hp. (not sure exactly what ones yet, need to talk to jody) But will I require a overboost kit like ITP sells? thanks Jeff
yes you will need it... I dont have that one specifically but i had the sp diesel overboost eliminator... there are other ways to set up an OB elim but I figured this was the easiest, this is so you dont throw codes and defule when you hit more boost than stock with your new chip
Iam interested in the ITP overboost they sell, I see they have install sheets for an overboost kit but I cant seem to find that "kit for sale. I only see the overboost anninhilator. And can someone tell me where this is installed? and does it work well? thanks I am looking to puschase soon because i will need something for the overboost from what I hear. thanks jeff

It takes about five minutes to install and works tremendously well. I'd recommend this over any other overboost device.
And to Bin Stroking, some folks have made their own using a regulator from a hardware store and fabbing one up, so it is certainly possible to create your own.
i use this one..no problems yet.ive pushed 27 to 28 lb boost and no ses light...it has a hole for the boost gauge for the turbo.. and a extra hole for a gauge to show what the pcm reads..it will show 22 to 23 all the time to the pcm..http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=31

I'll have to throw my hat into the ring with ryan, RAMPAGE and Fire Rooster. There is no better boost code eliminator than the regulator like the one from ITP Diesel.
I have yet to have anyone give me an explaination I'll buy that a relief valve is any different than a boost leak at a boot connection.
......................I purchased the ITP unit from DP tunner at the same time I ordered my chip and it works very well and is relatively easy to install . I'm pulling a 14k fiver and haven't had any problems yet . sk

I used to have that one and kept setting a SES light... went with the ITP kit and picked up about 2#'s boost on the gauge at WOT...
