cluch went out

My cluch whent out today. We went down the road to pick up my brothers buddy on the way home it stared slipping bad. when i let out on the pedel the cluch grinds. i had to drive it home grinding(1/2 mile).once i got it in the garage the cluch did not work at all.

That sucks, been there a few times myself. Not a nice place to be. Is it atleast an easy enough clutch to do?

should be real easy I'm just going to steal the cluch from the 73 for now maybe change the hole tranny too. My 76 has a lot of play in the shifter.

It is just so cold out in the shop. Mom is going to let me borrow her car.I will wait for it to warm up!

Its the clutch that came in the truck when I bought it this summer, it had been sitting for awhile before i bought it.

pintoches's brother we started the job but it became a quick problem. the job is easy for us but we had complications. The pressure plate bolt broke flesh off in the fly wheel due to over tightning. the torque wrench was set wrong

finaly got the cluch job done. I have never hand so much troble stabing a tranny.
get this the frist thing i did last nite after finshing the culch job from hello. was push a GMC short school bus, that was a hole lot of fun. but not the best way to break in a cluch.
