quick question about the taillights

what is the diffrence between the 88 f-150 taillights and the 89-96 models?

I figured that....I keep on running across 89-96 altezza taillights...my trucks an 88...that just goes to show you that aftermarket parts dealers dont always know what the hell they selling

Well, to be nit-picky, there IS a SMALL difference from '87-'88 to '89-'96. There is silver around the backup lights on the earlier ones, while it's all red on the latter. BUT...any taillight from '87 to '96 will fit any truck from the same time period.

Sorry about being ****, but right after I got my truck I traded taillights with a buddy of mine (he has a '97 250HD) because I hated the silver around my (old) backup lights, and fortunately for me, he had no opinion one way or the other. I've been waiting for YEARS to share this piece of completely useless information!
