Hi, I am looking at lifting my 2005 ford excursion 4x4 diesel using the rize 8 inch superduty kit. My question is will it work because it is made for the 05 and up superduties with the coil over front suspension. I really like the look of this kit. Thank you for the information you can give me.
The Rize system is designed for '05+ SDs with coil spring suspension. However we have performed a conversion on a '05 Excursion and currently have a customer doing the same. This requires swapping axles as well as a few other modifications. Here's a look:
Do it right the first time. The DR systems offer superior construction and will ride and perform considerably better then the Fabtech. They are also made 100% in the USA and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
The DR is about 50% higher but includes DR signature series gas shocks, one piece oe style rear blocks with integrated bump stop tangs (no stacked blocks), and grade 8 hardened u-bolts. The shocks alone represent the difference in price.
i just got a price for the 3.5 fabtech lift kit which is only shocks and the springhangers and rear block and my price was $1400 can. i hate canadian motorsporting we get ripped off like there is no tommorow
Yup welcome to the world of canadian shopping, can't get half the stuff and whatever you can is overpriced. i would like a price on a dr system but not sure how to get it here, i'm close enough to Detroit and just throw it in the back of the truck. Go ahead and PM me Overkill.
Overkill, got the PM. Now i have a question for all who have lift kits on their truck. I want to get a lift kit for my truck and want to run 35's at least. What lift kit still allows you to fit into most of the 9' drive thru's? I do lunch and banking and go thru them constantly that is one thing that i do not want to have to give up completely with a lift kit. Does anybody know what combination of kit would for sure stop me from getting in?
