Although the manual says you can engage the 4wd at highway speeds, I wouldn't. Just out of caution. I would slow enough (say 40 km/hr) to engage it and wait for the click (if there is one) before acceleration. I think 70 km/hr is pushing it (i'm not sure how fast that actually is in mph (~50?). If the roads are that bad where you need to engage it on the highway, you might want to slow down anyway. just my 2 cents.
and I'm envious of you getting snow. This winter has sucked so far
