what can i do next?

what can i do next?

Hey guys I have a 1993 f-250 IDI. I have put a non wastegated banks turbo on it. I also took the air inlet and moved it up to the front corner of the radiator support (right to the driverside of the radiator). I would like to get it to run a little better what can i do next? I have the fuel turned up already some. I though tabout stage one injectors. Are they worth while? Also is propain worth doing?

How much did you turn it up (the pump)? What kinda boost and exhaust temp are you running?

I am running around 1100 egt's sometimes itll go up to 1200 and ill let off of it. I get some black smoke out of it whenever i pull out but the turbo (when wound up) it clears it up. I am gettign around 10lbs of boost right now. Couple times up to 12 lbs but not lately but lastngith int he garage i noticed my downpipe came loose soem so i retightened it up maybe ill get back up around 12lbs again. In order to get that boost tho i have to be very close to the rev limiter.

Give the fuel another 1/2 flat or so, if you have any smoke after the turbo is spooled up you want it to be a very very light black.
Any more than that is just wasted fuel.

ok so whenever i pull out tho it will blow black tho untill my boost gets up?

PS As long as i watch my EGTs by addind the extra fuel wont hurt it any?

If you take off a little easier, lighter throttle application till the boost starts to come up, the black can be limited.

Before you do that though, what is the number on your pump?
I am going to guess DB2-5013 or DB2-5028

The ID plate should be on the passenger side of the IP, right in front of the fuel screw cover plate.
