Well, I FINALLY got around to cleaning up my truck. Haven't so much as run it through a cheapo car wash up 'til now. Figured I better get it running good first to find out if it was even worth the effort to clean it up
She's lookin purty spiff now though. Took it down to the carwash so I could use heated water. Still pretty challenging to wash it and then get the dirty water off before it froze
Haven't shampooed the carpets and upholstery yet. Figured I better wait 'til it warms up for that - wouldn't want all the interior cloth frozen stiff. I cleaned all the windows and wiped all the plastic/vinyl down with some McGuire's leather/vinyl cleaner/protectant. Scrubbed the wheels good and used some steel wool on the center caps and lug nuts. Even wiped out the door jambs.
I'm happy to say she started up just fine this morning - even after sitting for 3 days in below-freezing temps without being driven or even started. So, I guess I'm all ready for the NW IDI Meet & Greet next weekend.
It's a proven fact that clean trucks go faster. How cold is it there? Here this morning it was down to about 49. We are having a terrible winter. I love it.
I need to get some cleaning in on mine today. It sure is tough when it's in the teens outside thouigh. Maybe I'll wait a while... when it goes up into the 20s.
When I had some work done on my truck the shop washed it for free (lucky me). I am gonna wait till we get out of the below zero range before I do the interior tho haha
Until today I have had ample time to clean my truck do to warmth. The only set back is the constant rain showers and mud OMG the mud is everywhere. Overcast skies rain day in and out think I live in Oregon during the winter. We are supposed to be in the rust aka snow belt. But 4 wheeling has been awesome the sloppiest mud you can find. Oh well what can you do at least I am alive to complain about it.
55 degrees and rain at 10 PM.
Been raining since Thursday evening.
Looks like more of the same for tomorrow.
Then tomorrow night drop the temps into the 20's for the rest of the week with snow in the forcast.
I think I am going to stay in bed tomorrow.
Sure can't dig dirt, the hole fills with water faster than I can dig and the dirt goes from solid state to liquid state just about as fast.
where having a horrible winter here in south jersey its be 50 - 60 and sunny every day lol but it looks like that is about to end within the end of this week. maybe we will finally get some snow, we would have normaly had one or two decent storms by now but we havent even had a flake fall.
