Ford Excursion Prices.....

Just was browsing the web today and I cannot believe the prices for Excursions here in the Phoenix AZ area. Click on the link below and take a deep breath. I think we all may be driving collector cars, maybe classics...

Naw ... that seems to be about par with mid-atlantic east coast pricing. A few of your examples were a tad high, and some a bit low, but overall about average.

FWIW, I recently bought an '05 EB V10 model with 42K miles ... paid $27K.

Some prices seemed high but take into consideration the fairly low miles on them.

I just picked up a one owner 04 limited 4x4 PSD (loaded with quads and dvd) for 29,900, 20k miles from the original owner

Deals are out there but you have to look for them. I traveled 700 miles to pick this one up earlier this week

I don't get it. I am in upstate NY. This summer I bought an '05 Limited V-10 with about 10K miles on it. It was flawless. There were several others on the lot (a large Ford dealership). I paid $26,995.00. There was one with only about 7K miles on it, but someone snapped it up before I did.

In late Nov. the Ford dealer had a MINT '05 gold V-10 Limited with 33,000 mi. ; they and would NOT BUDGE below $24,000.

I wound up buying one just like it that was, if it is possible! to be even MINTER...! with 14,000 mi for $27,950 - however, this one came as a "certified" one, also with the Extended Warranty.

I felt the extra money was worth it to get the remainder of the factory warranty (mine was built in late Sept. 05 so I am fully covered bumper to bumper till Sept. 08. Was it worth it to pay nearly $4,000 for the warranty.

Well....if you read what happened to me first time I tried to tow anything, in my "thread" about transmission failure, you will see it most certainly WAS !

To summarize, in "hunting" for Excursions all over the west, it appears that while Excursion actual selling prices have generally dropped about 10% - 15% from the so called "Blue Book" and dealer's listings, they are still holding relatively firm in spite of all the wise-cracks of the ecology types. ( hell..I am an "ecology type"...but we need to move our boat and antique car around...!)

The dealer in Fredericksburg, VA where I bought my '05 V10 EB in November said he recently had three of them on his lot. One guy came from Ohio to buy one, another guy came up from North Carolina to get one, then I (from VA) bought the third. This dealer said he's going to get some more ... usually lease turn-in's at dealer auctions. BTW, the guy from NC was NASCAR driver Ricky Rudd.

I have to agree. Just bought an '02 2wd V10 LTD cremepuff for $14300 in the Ft Worth area. I also have to add that most Southern US trucks would not have seen any of the nasty environs of the north country.

I just picked up a nearly perfect 2000 Limited 4X4 v10 for $8001. High miles at 137K but it truly is in like new condition. The truck was in PA and I drove it to Utah. Long haul, I know. I wasn't paying attention when I placed the bid on eBay...

No need to panic, but I bought an eBay 1999 Cadillac Eldorado from Florida that I thought was a Florida car. I later found the car to have been living in Pennsylvania the majority of time. Since Pa uses road salts in the winter and Houston is very warm and humid, guess what started to happen? Parts began to drop off, literally from corrosion underneath. The unibody was dangerously rotted on the bottom resulting in brake line, fuel line, and stabilizer failure in less than six months after I got the car. Every nut, bolt, clamp, was frozen from the front to back on this car. It was a very low mileage gorgeous car but dying fast from cancer. I had to give it away (yes for free) and told the new owner what I had found.

I bought this summer during the Isreal - Lebbanon war & their finding holes in the Alaskan pipe line . Big cars were selling very cheaply . People were saying gas could go to $5.00 gal. I made an E-Bay buy, 01 V 10 , 4x4, 120,000 mi. for $9,200 .A clean Truck where everything works .
I guess the prices have recovered from that deep recession . Buy when there is blood in the streets . ( I'm not making reference to the War .)
