PIA comes to mind. Hopefully you don't have a 96 to deal with, but you will still need to wire up or break out the wiring for the guages. It sounds like fun if you have time to do it and don't need the truck right away.

so your saying right now it had a 6cyl,and you want a 351w in it now?, if this is correct I might want to yank a wiring harness of a 85 or 86 f150 with 302 or 351w or order a new for that model. I am doing kind of the same thing to a 2000 ranger but I have another problem to do with and it is the electric speedometerbecause I am puting a v8 and automatic transmission but its not a typical v8.if interested ask me more!!!

well my friend me and you are on the same journey ...I am going to do my first engine build as well as a AOD tranny build...but first I have to gut my truck because of fire damage from 3 years ago ...the hoods rusting out and the wiring is shot..so I will be using a painless universal harness myself...I guess I will sell or trade my motor "running" for a 351 block ...still dont know if I should get a cleveland, modified,or a windsor....but I am gonna shoot for around 500hp all motor ...I had my gt40 motor in this one before my g/f caught it on fire....

I know I am putting Dual Quads on it....always wanted that

PS ...it was a show~n~go truck before she burnt it down....white with a blue pearl ,4-15's in a custom fab box that is fiberglassed in the bed..custom seat..which are black now and warped custom dash "melted"....rims and the goodies....no neons just black lights....now shes stripped in my backyard of all the goodies and I just cant junk it...so race it
