Back Pressure

Getting an error message about exhaust back pressure. Truck runs like it has a jake brake. Anybody know about this? 1997 F350 7.3L Thanks!

Something in the exhaust is clogged.

Pull the system off at the Y pipe and try that.

sounds like your EBPV (exhaust back pressure valve) is stuck shut. it is a valve on the outlet of the exhaust side if the turbo that helps the engine warm up. it is on the under side of the turbo.

Replaced senser at the cost of $115 and truck seems to run fine now. Thanks for the help.
