I changed my fuel filter a couple of weeks ago, and before that it has only had a miss once before. Now, as it did then, it only last a few seconds. However now, it seems as though any time I travel at a constant speed for 5+ minutes, when I come to a stop the motor shakes and is has a slight hesitation. I have put 300 miles on after the fuel filter, so I don't think there is air traped in it.
I haven't check for codes tonight, but the last two times it did this no codes. Motor's clean, fresh oil, new trans fluid.
its the iac valve. idle air control valve that is...some guys try and clean it..others just replace it...not sure that cost..but almost positve that'll fix your problem!
I had thought that, but the rpms don't drop much after I have come to a complete stop. However, the first time it happened, it continued to shake while driving. I drove a hundred yards and it stopped.
Not a trans issue. It did it again today at 40mph, decel felt ok, but accel was shakey until around 2300 rpm. I got a place and dropped it neutral, idle to midrange hesitated, 3K+ was smooth and crisp.
While under power my a/f gauge was erratic, normally it bounces lean to rich, but when it was missing the LEDs bounced atleast twice as fast. I haven't been back out to pull any codes yet, I'll check it alittle later.
It didn't clear up on it's own, so I pulled into arbies and got lunch. Came back out the truck fired up and idled/ran smoothly the rest of the way home. It's becoming more frequent so maybe I'll know what is wrong.
Ok, No DTC's. However, I am looking back over an autotap log I made after the seafoam went through the top end. I think I have an electrical problem. Battery voltage is shown to go from 14.1 to 0 and IAT goes from -44 to 66 *F and so does the ECT. It's cool out side but not below 60. It drops instantly, so It might be a glitch in the software, but it's still somewhat trouble some. Any ideas?
