A question (not a problem this time): I have seen in several posts were guys are have talked about close to 30 PSI boost. I don't run near that even tromping on it. I got it to 20 PSI a couple of time while towing and pulling a good hill (passing any bow-tie I could of course). This is per the stock dash gauge. My questions, is the higher boost because they have have programmers? Is the dash gauge that far off? Of am I just not pulling as hard as I think?
The spec most generally is wide open throttle under a load. If you can develop 21-23 psi its probably ok. 30 psi is pushing the high side on the ok range.
My stock 07 will make 26psi under full throttle. The thing that scares me though is the 800deg pyrometer reading while driving at 55mph. seems a little high to me. Do you have any other gauges?
I have the Edge Platinum in my 05. I had it set at level 3 of 5 but then from hearing from guys on here I put it down to level 1. I set the boost alarm at 25psi and if I stomp on it getting onto the highway I can make around 27psi. EGT's are no problem cause I straight piped the exhaust.
Thanks for the replies. I tried again, tromping on it uphill freeway onramp and could get 20-21 PSI. All stock. Just questions, I'm sure these stock gauges are not real accurate. Not worried though, have plenty of power. Its fun leaving sports cars behind....
My 03 hangs right at 20-23 when I get into it. The highest I've seen is about 26 and I had it floored till I hit about 90mph. My EGT's are just over 600 at cruising speeds will run just under 800 while accelerating at a normal rate while towing.
