I also put some green LED's in my gauges to replace the standard bulbs.
?? Not to be a Richardhead but why? My gauges came with them. Autometers? Just for those looking at gauges. Not to hijack the thread. Lights look good Chris.
My Autometers (carbon fiber series) came with standard bulbs, not LED's. There is a green cover I put over the bulbs to closer match the factory gauges, but that cover also blocks some of the light and the gauges aren't very bright at night. I know some do come with LED's, but mine did not.
Edit: plus, the LED's I put in the gauges are only about $2 a piece. So yes, I spent $15 just to look at the gauges.
The new green LED's in place of the standard bulbs with covers makes them brighter, easier to read at night, and a much more vivid green color - which I personally like. I used the 4 LED wedge bulbs (194 type) from superbrightleds.com. I'll have some pics of everything once I get the light bar in and installed.

Looks good Chris. I just replaced all my stock front blinkers, front markers, tail lights, and cab lights with LED's. I also put some green LED's in my gauges to replace the standard bulbs. Now I can't wait for my rear light bar to get here! Should be here on Monday.
i did the same thing as you did a few months back..only dif is i used the blue in my gauges...the old owner put in all blue lights in the dash..makes the gauge look alot brighter but not blinding..i had to put in resisters for blinkers..i installed them right behind the tail lights so they wont get salt and junk in them..

I replaced the flasher relay so the blinkers would still work, an EP-27 relay. It's a no load type relay, so it will flash normally. The stock one wouldn't even blink with the LED's in.

when i 1st put mine in they would blink fast..i went to get a new flasher and they tuned me onto this risister that did one side for i think it was 8 bucks..it took 2 of them..one per side...now they blink right..i used the red in my tail lights..is that what you used??mine isnt alot brighter but is a lot more red..i thought about getting blue to see if i could get the old purple look...just havnt got back down to the chrome shop to pick them up...

I debated the resistor versus relay, and figured the relay would be easier since it's just unplugging the old one and putting the new one in (although a PITA to get to), and at $13, it was a little less expensive. But, either way works.
I used the 25 LED bulbs in front and rear - red in the tail lights, and amber in the front lights. From the side, I'm not sure that they are quite as bright, but from the back I think they are brighter, since most of the light is directional.
I was reading about using the same color LED as the lens. I think if you did use blue, it would show up purple, but not be very bright at all.

after i see what a pitta i was going to be for the relay is what turned me on to the resister lol.pluss i had to take the tail lights out any ways..i thought id give the blue 36 led a shot..ill post pics after i try it..i should be going down there next weekend...i used the wide angels in all of them 25 tail and park and 9 led in the corners..

I found it easier to access the relay from a different spot. If you take the hanging hook (trash bag hook) off that's in the middle section of the dash, you can reach in through there to get the relay. It's still a tight fit to get your hand in there, but I thought it was easier than reaching up from the bottom.
I didn't see a 36 LED bulb. Did I overlook it? I thought the 25 LED was the most they had for the tail and blinkers.

thanks for the tip on the relay..ill keep that one stashed in favorite for when it needs to be replaced...i got mine from a truck chrome shop down the road about 80 miles..they have a lot of choices and lots of led's for the big trucks....i thought i see 36 but now im not sure..ill look though..some place around here i have a card of where these lights come from..ill post it when i find it..if not ill let you know if i have found them in a 36..if i do..are you interested?? be happy to pick up a couple for you..
I might be interested in a 36, depending on the specs and cost. One thing I do like about the 25's I got is 6 of the LED's are mounted radially, facing outward, to provide better lense fill. I think it works pretty well.

yes that is what i have..that is the wide angle bulb...i have that in all my lights as well as my gauges..
Cool deal, Chris. Do you have any pics of the front in the day light? I'm curious to see how you mounted that front bar up there with the front being curved and all.
