A number of folks making unproven claims for lubricants & other automotive things, have been taken to court by "Uncle Sam" & guess who won!!!!

Folks like Shell, over their "PEP" molecule claims, then Shell owned Slick-50, over their PTFE claims.

Valvolene, over TM-8

Castrol, over Syntec Power System

Dura-Lube, Motor-Up, Z-Max, Prolong, Splitfire spark plugs, ect, ect.

Don't blieve it, read about the court cases here, before you waste any of your gold. http://neptune.spacebears.com/cars/legal/index.html

WD40 is not a penetrant, it is a surficant, and a not very good one at that.

Kroil is the best penetrating oil I have found. jd

There is to a Santa Claus. I saw him in the mirror on the 24th of Dec. The poor fool was putting together a Pirates of the Carribean Black Pearl lego ship and had to get the super glue out to make it stay together

I have used it in engines to get home but if ya need an engine additive. Than ya need an overhaul. But with a hammering center main on a 272 and weak oil pump. I drove the Al-can from Shelton Washington to Prince Rupert.
road the ferry to the island. Chanced oil and it is still running today. that was in 2000.
WD40 is NOT a penetrating oil - period.

when you loose oil in an engine that is running you maintain a hydrodynamic wedge in critical parts for the most part, and you can run for a while without failure, it is totally different than running the engine dry. I wouldn't credit Prolong for the protection, anyone can think what they want.
