Up-pipes

My up pipes are leaking and with the cold weather(semi) the fumes are starting to get into the cab. I can replace them with the stock parts or use the modded version from DI. Help me make up my mind. Thanks in advance. GO RAVENS

They are on a wait list. Just go for the stock ones for now. They last a good long time and are not that bad to do...

Thanks for the replies.... I guess what I need to know is are the stock pipes really that junky and are the DI ones worth that kind of money?

I think it might depend on how long you want to wait before you have to replace them again. With 160K on mine, they're just starting to leak. The stock ones should be good for several years. But, if I had the money, I'd be getting the DI pipes.

Or you could buy a set of small block chevy exhaust donuts for $5. They will seal even if the pipes are corroded/pitted.

Are your pipes rusting through and failing or is it a gasket issue? Mine look good, but what can happen to them sitting in my driveway holding the concrete down. Just wondering what is going on with yours.

Tenn, my truck has almost 300K on it. I know I have a leak at the turbo end. I would imagine that I have lost some material of the pipes due to vibration, heat cycles etc. Until I pull it apart, it's really hard to tell. Problem is, my truck is my daily driver. I still have my BB turbo sitting on the shelf! I want to get all the parts I need together before I start.
