Shoot there are all kinds of ways to get a little more punch out of these babies. What type of truck do you have: F150, 250, Bronco, Van/ auto or manual tranny/ what gears/ 4x2 or 4x4? You have the injected 300 being a 1991, there are several companies that offer bigger cams. You can install a higher output coil, open up the exhaust, bigger injectors, the only limit to your madness is your wallet!

The 1st & Foremost thing is to Make these Engines "BREATH"!
Get an Offenhouser "DP" Intake w/ a 390 or 450 Holley & a decent 2-into-2 Header.
You'll notice a rather nice improvement in accelleration.

The if you wish more, look into a Minimal Porting & Polishing, Oversized Valves, a Melling Torque Cam or something from Crane for a real nasty bite.

Look @ my "Gallery" if you wish to view more Mods to get a 400 FTP & 300 HP, now 312 I-6.
