Well I am getting ready to go on my last 6 month deployment for the Navy and wanted to say 2 things. Thank you for all your help on my f150 and is there anything special that I should do before it sits in the back yard while I am gone. If I can I'll check in and see how things are going in the website, If I cant then I'll let you all know when I get home.
Make sure you put some stabil in your gas and run it for a few miles so the fuel won't go bad. You could stuff your air filter intake with a rag (if you have a stock one) to keep the critters out of it. Make sure you have enough coolant to keep the block from cracking in the cold. (Use a coolant meter) Same idea goes for the battery. Dead batteries freeze and crack in the cold. You could disconnect it and put it in a shed for more protection. Also, some guys might tell you to put your truck on blocks so the tires don't get a flat spot. (Blocks under the axels) You could really go the extra mile and cover it with a tarp. This would help keep the interior and tires from drying out and cracking. Just my 2 cents.

Stay safe, have a good cruise, and come home safe. Thank you for defending me and mine

Couldn't say it better myself.
You could also pour about a half pint of Marvel Mystery Oil through the carb while it's at a fast idle. Will smoke a lot, but should give a good oil film coating to the cylinder walls. Shut it down while it's still smoking.

Be safe, and best wishes.
Hmmm... how about just pulling the plugs and squirting some into the plug holes?
I join in in saying be safe, and THANK YOU for your service. I'm always grateful to those of you who are putting your lives on the line so we can be safe here at home.
