Hydraulic clutch slave capability?
I'm wondering because I'm getting ready to put a fairly powerful motor in my truck and the clutch i have to go with it is a 2400 or 2600lb Long style pressure plate (so I'm basically going to be doubling my pedal effort).
Should i worry about the slave cylinder and it's mounting bracket or should everything be just fine?
As an aside- i know the 12" clutched 460's used 2200 and 2400lb pressure plates, but i wasn't sure if the f150's and 350's used the same hydraulics.
EDIT: I just came across that the 1/2 and 1 ton's use the same master cylinder but different slaves, with the 1ton being larger. Any idea if this was just to reduce pedal effort or if it substantially increased the capability of the system.
