help with keyless entry programming

ive got a 97 F-350 XLT with factory keyless entry and im trying to program another keypad to the truck. the problem is i cant get it to go into program mode after i turn the key on and off 5 times. am i doing this right?? TIA

no you got to jump the grey terminal above the go pedal with a screwdriver.

Smile Living large.

Get all your transmitters together. Under the dash above the gas pedal there is a little gray plug with two wires going into it. Spin it a little bit and have a screwdriver in your hand so you can jump the two pins in the open end of the plug. Switch ignition on, momentarily jump the two pins with screwdriver. Doors will lock and unlock on their own. remove screwdriver and push any button on the first remote. Doors lock and unlock. Push any button on second remote. Doors lock and unlock. Third remote same. Fourth remote same. Switch ignition off and then all the remotes should work from there on out. You can only have four remotes programmed in, but hey that's alot anyway. I only have two and I feel rich. Keyless entry remotes for a beautiful Powerstroke and it's all mine. What fun!!!!!
