A/C compressor help
I need to get to the timing belt and have to remove the A/C compressor, Do we have to take the truck to a shop to relieve the pressure or can I do It myself ? And another thing is I checked for codes and the system passed how do we check for miss firing with the OBD II? Any help needed a.s.a.p.

The AC compressor should have flexible hoses attached to it. So once you unbolt the compressor from the mount you can just move it out of the way with the hoses still connected. Just try to avoid putting a kink in the hose. You could take the truck to a parts store like Autozone and they can scan for codes for free and tell you what they are. Then post the codes here and some one will be able to help with what they mean.

Just for future reference, if you ever DO need to "drain" the freon from the system, although possible to just remove a valve and let it vent, it is illegal to do so in the USA. You must use proper recovery equipment to remove the freon, or take it to someone who can use proper equipment.
Typically you do not need to remove the lines just to move it out of the way for access.

I got that off the way and all my timming marks arent linning up, and I dont have the tension tool for the timming belt. Is the another way we can take the tension off the belt to adjust the without the timming belt tension tool? O and TNX for the info MazdaRangerGuyInSTL.
