Here is my info - I have the Edge Platinum Juice controller on my 2005 Harley Davidson 6.0 SD and a 4" MBRP Turbo Back w/ cat delete. Now the weird and strange thing is i get a extremely LOW level of black smoke with daily driving, or even if i mash the pedal to the floor from a dead stop, and it dosent matter if the programmer is set on Stock or level 5. The truck has been like this since day 1 (stock), after the programmer (stock exhaust), and even the same after the exhaust - very low amount of black smoke.
Is this something i should be concerned about? I see guys with programmers all the time blowing black smoke like crazy. I cant understand why my wouldnt do the same. I understand that all black smoke is, is just basically unburnt fuel, does this mean i am burning all the fuel that is injected?
The newer Edge Juice calibrations don't use alot of low boost fuel anymore, even with the feature turned all the way up.
You can call Edge and buy an unlock code from them to obtain the "Hot Juice" level 6 setting. I've heard from a few customers that this got them a bit of extra power and quite a bit of low end fuel.
