Well I see nobody is on so I guess everyone is out enjoying the weather.
I guess it's lucky I got the head from my 59 223 is already inside our wood heated shop I guess I'll work on getting some of the stuck valves out. It's weird all the intakes were fine but all the exhaust valves are seized 3 of them forsurely burnt.
Just wonderin what is everyone up to today?
It`s a bad storm with the hi winds & blowing snow, the highways are shut down as is most of Stoon/Central Sask.
Good thing the hiway crews are be back to work, hope they don`t decide to walk out again.
Customers are calling for snow removal but untill the wind goes down and I`m able to get out of my place they`ll have to wait.

That bad hey?
Our neighbor normally plows our driveway with his little old tractor but his carb has been acting up lately, so we are thinking of hiring someone from town to come do ours. we got another dump day before yesterday and our driveway is as long as a city block so shovelling it would take days, by then we have new snow again.
Is it blizzardy there? From what ive been reading about it, Stoon dosnt get tons of snow, its just that it isnt wet snow and it flies around from the wind alot
What do people do to get to work, do they call in on bad days? I remember 66 saying he worked at the hospital, yet lives in Delisle, guess not even a good 4x4 can get you there if you cannot see hey?
Today it's bad This is the worse in recent memoy by far.
That 223 of yours I'm interested bu not for this truck. I just want to get this 59 running and driving. Long story but it is a 3/ ton 223 with a 4.88 rear end. Thus if I hit 45mph. I'd be flyin. However I might buy a 58 half ton and there is that 57 coming up for sale at Meyronne. Can you tell me anything about that 223?
You will notice it when it hits, walking across the yard and back in 3 minutes the tracks are totally covered over.
The semi`s are parked all over and the ones that never pulled over in time are blocking the roads and that`s in Saskatoon!!!!
I wish I could see that weather, I was never in -30 in my life until this year when it hit -30 for a couple days here.
Right now it is -10 and there is a wicked wind blowing...there is a small ice crust on top of the snow, so leaves that are falling off the trees are blowing on top of the snow...floating across the yard, BRRRR
I have been waiting for the print shop in Stoon to call, they didnt call monday, and I stayed by the phone all day.So when tuesday came i thought it would be safe to go into town and do some shopping, and they called while I was out
Now today I am sitting by the phone after sending them another email telling them I was sitting monday but did stuff tuesday...and I can understand why they wont phone today
ALL in all, I beleive by the amount of emails and calls they have made to me...I have a good chance of having a job in Stoon very soon
Whether or not it pays really good or average isnt that important... I am just tired of this not working stuff having somewhere to go, doing something I enjoy doing... sure beats being stuck in the house...although my kids act like im the mom now, and thats cool...if my 1 YO daughter gets a boo-boo she runs to daddy now... I love that

Today is a wasted day and a good one to be at home. Too much blowing snow, getting alot colder (-15) plus wind chill is up there (-30`s).
Not safe to travel any where, no way to see enough to be safe travelling.
Just got home from work (City Hall) took about a half hour driving up Spadina to Lawson Heights. I'd say no more than 30 feet visability and zero at lots of times. I wasn't driving, I car pool with a guy in a Sunfire. He barely got out of first gear and never past 2nd. I have a 5 foot drift in my front yard now and when my wife got home I had to shovel the 3 foot drift in the driveway and take 3 runs with the Windstar to get in the garage. It's a beauty of a storm!!
Tell me about it read my little adventure in the Winter Storms topic what a day i had my mom didnt even make it home tonight from work because of circle drive being closed
