Brake noise
Okay, I've had my truck for a little over a yeear now. 02 F-350 v10 4x4. It's got a little ove 60k on it. I noticed almost from day one there was a brake squeal, well it's more like a groan from the left front. Only under moderate pressure, the kind you use in everyday driving! So I ripped my brakes apart thinking that they could just use a quick service. I cleaned the pad, calipers, hardware, hell I even machined the rotors! Put it all back together and the noise came back on the way home. So I waited a couple months (Because my pads still had 50%+ on them) then I ordered some new ford pads and did the front brakes, I took extra care to machine the rotors (We have a ammco lathe and i put new bits in it!) and cleaned everything up. Even flushed the brake fluid. Sure enough on the way home the same damn noise!!! I've lived with it for a while but now it's driving me nuts! Anyone have any ideas?
